Since 2001, Gleaning For The World has ministered to hurting children around the world through the gift of a stuffed animal. Rev. Ron Davidson, along with his wife Jackie started the program to give individuals working with struggling children a tool to show them God’s love. Originally called the “Bear Ministry,” it later became known as “Operation Teddy Bear.” “The Teddy Bear Brigade” became the ministry’s official title in 2009, and over the past decade has collected and shipped over 300,000 stuffed animals. These toys have been sent to children throughout Central America, Africa, Haiti, the Caribbean and even the United Stated in response to natural disaster.
