Since 2001, Gleaning For The World has ministered to hurting children around the world through the gift of a stuffed animal. Rev. Ron Davidson, along with his wife Jackie started the program to give individuals working with struggling children a tool to show them God’s love. Originally called the “Bear Ministry,” it later became known as “Operation Teddy Bear.”
“The Teddy Bear Brigade” became the ministry’s official title in 2009, and over the past decade has collected and shipped over 400,000 stuffed animals. In 2012, nearly 67,000 stuffed animals were shipped out along with other life-saving supplies. These toys and supplies have been sent to children throughout Central America, Africa, Haiti, the Caribbean and even the United Stated.
