Each month, hundreds of volunteers provide assistance at Gleaning For The World working with sorting, cleaning and packing the thousands of stuffed animals that are donated to the Teddy Bear Brigade ministry. They come from various community organizations, Boy and Girl Scout troops, churches and youth groups, local businesses and vary in age and background. But all of them have one thing in common: the desire to make a difference in the lives of hurting children.
Volunteers serve in many ways, including:
Sorting and packing stuffed animals
Cleaning and repairing any damaged stuffed animals
Making phone calls/Sending emails
Preparing mailings. . .and more.
These volunteers make it possible for GFTW to save thousands of dollars in staff time — savings we pass on to the humanitarian and mission organizations we serve.
