Thanks to the many donations received in recent months Gleaning For The World’s Teddy Bear Brigade was able to ship out 8,418 stuffed animals in the month of August. Many of these will be distributed as Christmas gifts or Basic Relief by our partner Food For The Poor in the countries of Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, El Salvador, Jamaica and Nicaragua.
Other stuffed animals were included on 3 tractor trailer loads of Disaster Relief bound for Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Isaac. Many children in the Gulf Coast lost there homes and possessions to the tragic flooding produced by the storm. It’s our hope that these simple gifts will help these children rebuild their broken lives.
