This week, the Teddy Bear Brigade has been the mission opportunity for Thomas Road Baptist Church, in Lynchburg, VA.
Hundreds of local kids participated in Thomas Road’s VBS. The theme was, “The Quest For The Silver Knight” – children learned all about wearing the armor of God! Over 1,500 children attended the VBS throughout the week. As part of the closing night festivities, they were encouraged to bring their new and gently-loved stuffed animals to donate to hurting children around the world. These gifts were laid on the altar under banners for the different countries they’d talked about all week.
Over 1,200 stuffed animals were donated! They will make their way to Haiti and Guatemala in the upcoming weeks and months.
